Admissions

Admissions

Pinnacle Career Institute believes in and supports equal opportunity and welcomes all qualified candidates applying to college regardless of sex, race or national origin. Applicants must have reached age 18 by the time they graduate from PCI.

All courses of study are open to applicants with a high school diploma or a GED certificate. However, PCI believes in the universal right to education and training, and therefore, aptitude for work in the electronics, business and Allied Health fields is a prime consideration when enrolling students.

Our college admissions requirements state all applicants must achieve a predetermined score on our entrance exam.

COLLEGE ADMISSION PROCESS

Prospective students must complete an application for admission, a personal data questionnaire, and an enrollment agreement. They also must be interviewed by an admissions representative. Credit for previous college coursework will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Any person seeking admission to PCI must complete the college application process:

  1. Fill out the PCI application form.
  2. Submit an official copy of high school transcript or GED scores, or complete an attestation statement.
  3. Request former institutions to send official transcripts and catalogs if applying for transfer of credit hours.
  4. Achieve a passing score on the appropriate entrance exam. If score is not at passing level, applicant may request a review for acceptance through the admissions review committee.

PCI Kansas City South and Kansas City North may accept students who have not received a high school diploma or GED into certificate programs under Ability to Benefit (ATB) provisions. Applicants will be required to pass an independently administered entrance exam.

Candidate will be formally accepted and enrolled after these requirements have been met and these steps have been completed.

Any student with special needs should contact PCI individually to discuss these requirements.
